Cheese and grits, delish. Home fries perfection. Chicken fried steak, light roast coffee, waffles loaded with fresh (not mushy/sugary) strawberries, and their signature butter syrup. Yum, yum, yum. “ I’ve been to Baker’s Kitchen many times and they never disappoint! I love their waffles because the butter syrup is beyond amazing! We have also tried the biscuits and gravy and the grilled cinnamon rolls. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have two levels of seating. The restaurant does get busy, but the wait is worth it! Trust me, you have to try Baker’s Kitchen! ”

“ Phenomenal restaurant! It was very crowded on Easter Sunday morning, but I have a feeling it’s always that way. We had a party of six and from start to finish. We were all singing praises and promising to come back on our next trip to new Bern. The food portions were huge, all made from scratch and all incredibly delicious and filling! With six of us, we tried six different entrees and passed them around. I don’t think one was any better than the other. Service was top-notch, I wish I could remember the woman that waited on us, but she was efficient, knowledgeable, very friendly, patient with our crowd, and on top of the table the whole meal. We never waited for water or coffee refills. She was very professional and made us feel that we were in her home. We were also very impressed with the pricing. Very reasonable for the quality and the portions. Highly recommended! ”

“ This place is very popular and can have crazy wait times, so we got there right when they opened. The service was fantastic! Our server kept our coffee topped off. I got the Hungry Farmer with French toast and grits. I do not recommend the grits. It might have been a one-off but the texture was not pleasing. My wife got the country fried steak with a sweet potato biscuit. Other than the grits, everything was quite tasty. ”

“ We enjoyed our experience very much. I was visiting my Marine who is stationed at Cherry Point and someone he works with recommended it. There was a bit of a wait, but we just shopped nearby to kill time. Food was outstanding. We slept in a bit so ordered for a brunch. Our waitress was super busy, but still very nice and efficient. Nice decor, but a little sparce. I will go back next time I am able to visit. Don't skip those biscuits! Beyond my favorite. ”
